We should open the earth with an educated
anticipation of what we may encounter. Just as a respectable medical
doctor would do. Geophysical data help us to guess, or often to
pinpoint, what may exist beneath the earth whom we are about to
excavate. So that we know what to expect before we open her up. So
that we don't dig up a whole acre to find an underground storage
tank. So that we may look a little bit smarter to our client and may
save a little bit of his money, which is often our tax money. So
that we may keep the earth a little bit cleaner, a little bit safer,
and a little bit more intact.

Our mission!
GEOSERVICE provides high quality geophysical
services for the non-destructive exploration and mapping of the
subsurface.
|
Fields of application
Geophysical services are widely used today in
the civil engineering, environmental and water resources sector,
tunneling and road construction.
|
|
|
|
 |
WATER RESOURCES
In the domain of water resources, geophysics
are used in the water prospecting ie to locate and map exactly the
aquifers for future exploitation using wells. |
|
OPTIMAL WATER WELLS DESIGN
In addition, geophysics are used also to
provide critical information for the design of water well screens in
newly constructed water wells. The method used is the geophysical
well logging method.

CIVIL ENGINEERING SECTOR APPLICATIONS
In the field of road construction works,
geophysics are used to construct detailed models of the subsurface
layers to help engineers and designers to construct with safety and
accuracy the roads, tunnels, bridges etc. |
|
ARCHAEOLOGY - ARCHAEOPHYSICS
More complicated applications like
“archaeophysics” are also used today in archeological excavation
works. Archaeology uses recently geophysical methods to speed up
excavation works and minimize labor costs.

Impervious liners in dam construction
Compacted granular soils with small additions of bentonite have been used to build geotechnical structures such as
impervious liners and cores of zoned earth dams.

NEW: Horizontal Directional Drilling
GEOSERVICE expands his services in trenchless technologies,
introducing in GREECE the Horizontal Directional Drilling
technology.
Using one JT920 type drilling machine (Ditchwitch - US),
with drilling capability of 90 meters and one electronically
controlled drilling head, the company constructs today horizontal
directional boreholes up to 10' of diameter.
