Optimal well design

Factors including aquifer parameters (location, depth, rock types, and water yield capacity), geology and water quality, are unique to every location. The professional engineer and geologist needs to be informed of these factors to complete a successful water well construction project.

Well construction using the Geophysical Well Logging method (GWL)

Geophysical well logging is a general term used to describe a variety of techniques which allow to measure various physical parameters of the rocks beneath the surface.  A  probe with sensors is lowered into the borehole of a well and a  cable  transmits the information collected by the sensors to the surface,  where they are processed using a computer and recorded as a well log.

Downhole video inspection method

Downhole video involves lowering a camera downhole on a well and viewing the images in real time. Critical information can be readily obtained such as:
  • the exact location of reservoir fluids and particulate matter
  • the fluid turbulence and flow direction
  • the deterioration of the water quality
  • The rock fractures and faults (see picture)
